Sears Point, July 19-23, 2000
Weather was perfect, we had two days of testing and practice, one day of qualifying, and then race day! I was doing great, turning faster and faster times, and then my car's engine siezed fourteen laps into the race. I had had a really good dice going with another driver, the entire time. It was a blast! Sears is a great track, but it's also a big "consequences" track, meaning if you mess up there will be consequences. Very little (if any) run off, and lots of hard things to hit. It rewards precision and anticipation, in other words, fun and challenging, just the way I like it!

Dallas was a thrill! It was 110 degrees every day, but once you're in the car, all you think about is driving! The banking is killer, it's just like, come up out of the infield and start putting your foot to the floor. Stand on it, push your foot through the floorboards, and at this crazy angle, watch the world fly by. It's like your fantasy of driving as fast as the car will go, and then quick now, get ready 'cause it's time to downshift and brake for the chicane! On through the chicane in third gear, powering on the throttle, and bang! up on the banking again at full-tilt!
